Job description

We are looking for an “IT Specialist” reporting to IT Manager, based in our Dubai office

  • Getting the requests from clients via ticket system, solve them properly and register into the ticketing system
  • Providing high quality of 1st level support
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot servers
  • Support end-users’ hardware and software in order to deliver required service levels
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing, upgrading software & hardware, configuring systems and applications
  • Implement server installations, upgrades, maintenance fixes and vendor-supplied patches according to the plans
  • Proceeding, checking and reporting daily backups
  • Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment
  • Work with the vendors and service providers when required
  • Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of servers, workstations, printers, peripherals
  • Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users
  • Provide remote support for end users when local support is not feasible

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT specialist position
  • Proven experience with help desk support
  • Experiences on Windows server & infrastructure background such as: Microsoft Server 2008 and 2012, Hyper-V 2008 and 2012, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange 2010 are big assets
  • Experience working with Microsoft System Center solutions (SCOM, SCCM, SCSM) is a must
  • Good working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Wireless Network and other common network subjects
  • Knowledge on VPN, Anti-virus
  • Experience on Backup and Restore tools. Knowledge on Netbackup is an asset
  • Experience in MAC OS and MAC iOS
  • Experience managing BES (Blackberry Enterprise) Systems
  • Good troubleshooting capabilities and solid problem-solving skills with proactive approach
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken
  • Military service should be completed for male candidates
