Seabrecher X

I guess that everybody is scared when see the great white shark, a supreme sea predator. But you don’t have to fear this one. In fact, this is not a shark, but a submarine boat built by two friends – Rob Innes and Dan Piazza. They built their first submersible boat in 1998 and founded a company named “Innespace”. This is a great example of how somebody could turn his hobby into wealthy and profitable business.

This artificial shark has almost the same size as the real sharks – 16.5 ft, she has the same fins and even shark teeth painted on the underside of the head. And here is where all similarities end. It is a vehicle powered by 260 hp supercharged four-stroke engine, thus allowing maximum speed of 50mph above water and 20mph below the water surface. Cooling system is closed and reliable in both salt and fresh water. The hardware is made of stainless steel and aluminum for increased resistance against water corrosion.

On the top of the dorsal fin is mounted a camera which transmits video to two LCD screens, one screen for the pilot and one for the passenger behind him. The boat has also stereo system with iPod compatibility.

Innespace produce two other models inspired by killer whale and dolphin.
