Euro NCAP performs multiple crash tests to determine the safety level of various cars. Watch as the Volvo S90 is put to the test.
The first test is the Front Offset Deformable Barrier test. This takes place at 64 km/h as 40 percent of the width of the car strikes a deformable barrier.
The next test is the Front Full Width Rigid Barrier test. This takes place at 50 km/h as 100 percent of the width of the car strikes a deformable barrier.
The following test is the Side Mobile Barrier test. In this test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver’s door at 50 km/h.
The next test is the Side Pole test. The car is propelled sideways at 32 km/h into a rigid pole.
Euro NCAP performs several other tests to test the safety of the pedestrians, as well as the efficiency of the Volvo’s safety systems.
