Lisa Magloff
Lisa studied Biology and History at Reed College, in Portland, Oregon, long before that city became a hipster paradise. After working as a scientific researcher, paralegal and criminal investigator, Lisa decided her interests lay more in writing about science and the law than in practicing it. She began working as a journalist and editor on newspapers and magazines in Egypt, Dubai, and in the United States. After moving to the UK, Lisa earned a masters in Political Geography and turned her hand to book publishing, writing and editing. She has written well over 100 non-fiction books on subjects ranging fromeducation and history, to religion, science and technology - but science is her favorite. Lisa has worked for many large US and UK publishers, including Pearson. MacMillan, Grolier, and Atlantic Europe. After managing a major education project for the Institute for Ismaili Studies, Lisa returned to freelancing and her love of writing and editing.
