Coding and programming are quickly becoming the most important job skills of the future. With constantly innovating and updating technologies, it's not hard to see why. However, plenty of people don't understand the basics, nor can they afford courses to be taught coding.
Here are some fantastic (and FREE) YouTube channels to teach yourself the basics of programming languages.
Coding 101 breaks down the absolute basics to make coding easy for the novice. They air new episodes every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. PST, and each video lasts 30 minutes. Coding 101 tries to condense lessons into six-week sessions.
Engineered Truth does more than explore programming languages. Matt and the other Engineered Truth guys cover everything from resume building to rental properties to reviewing the latest programming software. It's the perfect channel for anyone interested in all-around computer sciences and engineering.
Eli the Computer Guy goes over the basics of programming as well as interviewing some others in the business. He gives honest reviews of new products when they debut. He also does livestream events to answer questions.
Derek Banas does a fantastic job of making videos his viewership craves. His videos are a bit on the longer side (15-30 minutes for most), but he thoroughly explains everything. If you don't have the software he uses, he makes sure to include all links in the description below.
