Bill Gates Bought Gifts for a Reddit User in Secret Santa Gift Exchange

Bill Gates sent 81 pounds of gifts to a reddit user as a gift exchange.

How much cuter can Bill Gates get? He's been participating in Reddit's annual Secret Santa gift exchange since the early 2010s. And it seems like he really likes what he's doing.

In 2017, he matched with a person who loves cats, and his gift was a lot of cat-themed stuff, a large stuffed cartoon cat and $750 to donate her favorite animal charities.

This year, the lucky gift recipient was 33-year-old, Detroit-area marketer u/szor

She said to MarketWatch, "I always thought it would be super cool to be matched with him someday, but I never really would have expected this to happen to me."

What was included in the box weighed 81 pounds; adult-level Harry Potter and Star Wars LEGO sets, a Harry Potter Santa hat, toys for her cat, a couple of sweats, a Twin Peaks memorabilia, and some other stuff.

Also, the package included an original manuscript of one of her favorite books, The Great Gatsby.

In her YouTube video, she said, "I think this is my favorite gift. It’s really unique because it’s a manuscript book, so inside the pages are scans of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s actual handwriting and all of his notes when he was making this book."

Bill Gates also donated some money to the American Heart Association, saying on a note, "I know no gift will ever make up for losing someone so important to you. I was very sorry to hear about your mom, and I’ve made a donation to the American Heart Association in her memory. I hope you and your family find your ‘new normal’ this holiday season."

According to Szor, this was the most meaningful gift for her.
