Whitman College, founded in 1859, is one of America's most amazing campuses. It is a private art school but its campus looks like nothing else in the country.

Most of the buildings have a suburban look and setting to them. The campus' tallest building, Whitman Memorial Building, was added to the National Historical Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Many of the accommodation buildings look the same, if not similar, to most of the residential areas of Walla Walla. Each one is built in the American Victorian and Craftsman style of architecture.

The school itself currently offers around 48 majors and 33 minors and has a student-to-faculty ratio of 9:1. "Whitman was ranked tied for 41st in the nation in the 2017 U.S. News & World Report list of Best Liberal Arts Colleges." - Wikipedia

"There is a cannon that is buried in the ground south of Nassau Hall and the "Big Cannon" was left by British troops, then it was taken to New Brunswick, then it was placed within the town of Princeton, and then students moved it during the night and buried in its current location. There is even a "Little Cannon" on campus, which started the Rutgers-Princeton Cannon War." - thetravel.com.
