What are some things that only gamers will understand?
The life of a gamer can only really be understood if you are a gamer yourself. There are many "feelings" and experiences from gaming that can't really be replicated in any other way.
For example, here are a few things that only gamers will ever understand:
- The uncontrollable urge to search every corner of the map/level for hidden Easter eggs/secrets and collectibles
- Wanting to play an old game as soon as you've traded it in
- That soul-crushing feeling when your character dies and you can't remember where you last saved the game
- Promising yourself you'll only play for an hour and suddenly noticing its 4 am.
- That urge to complete "just one more level"
- Game rage
- The constant need to roll and jump when running is perfectly fine
- The indescribable joy when you finally beat that boss after 50,000 attempts
- The feeling of emptiness when you've finally finished a game you've loved playing
What will the PS5 cost?
With all the exciting news about the upcoming release of the PS5, you might be wondering what the price tag will be?
While no official price has been announced, some people are making educated guesses based on previous PlayStation model releases. Ultimately we will all have to wait until Sony, finally, release the machine.
"The Price of a console is always a touchy subject. At a minimum, we believe the PS5 will release at a $499 price point, but we are considering a $599 option as a possibility. The availability of the hardware and the state of the economy will be huge factors here." - ps5PlayStation5.com.
Which is better, Xbox or PS4?
This is a timeless question and one that is not easy to answer. It is also one of the biggest rifts between console gamers whenever the next generation of the Xbox or PlayStation series is released.
Fans of either will usually be entrenched in their position and are unlikely to ever admit that the other is the better machine.
Many reviewers will also attempt to give a balanced argument for and against either.
"The PS4 interface is slightly more user-friendly and has better options for sharing gameplay with friends. For sheer options, Xbox One is the superior entertainment machine. ... The Xbox One S, Xbox One X, and PS4 Pro can all stream 4K content, but only Microsoft's consoles can play 4K Blu-rays" - Tom's Guide.
Each machine has features or performance stats that best the other, and either console will also have its own set of exclusive games.
But ultimately, which is the better console comes down to your own personal opinion. You will need to ask yourself what is most important for you before committing to a purchase.
At the end of the day, it's up to you to make decisions which you would want to buy. If money is no option, why not get both?
If you can bring yourself to "get into bed" with the enemy, that is?
What are some examples of funny PlayStation gamer memes?
So, without further ado, here are 7 funny PlayStation and gaming-related memes for your delectation. Trust us when we say this list is far from exhaustive and is in no particular order.
1. PlayStation players are spoiled for choice, Xbox players, however...
It’s just not fair from r/BikiniBottomTwitter
PlayStation players are simply spoiled for choice when it comes to great titles to play on their beloved console. From God of War, Last of Us and Uncharted to most of the best anime games, they may not know where to start first.
On the other hand, Xbox players only really have the Halo series. It just doesn't seem fair, does it?
But, then again, both of them are put to shame when compared to PC titles. But we won't tell them that. It might just make them a little sad.
2. PlayStation players will never be able to understand
PlayStation players will never feel it from r/memes
One of the best, and worst, things about being a PlayStation player is the fact that the controllers have internal batteries. While this is very convenient when the battery is charged, it can be incredibly frustrating when the battery dies mid-boss fight!
Especially when all your micro-USB charger cables have decided to play hide and seek.
Xbox One players, on the other hand, have the advantage of using good ol' AA batteries for their controllers. Just like any other battery-operated electrical device, loading those tubular power cells always feels like loading a shotgun.
PlayStation players will never, ever, get the same kick! Sony, why have you forsaken us?
3. Modern gamers don't even know they're born
Here's one for older gamers.
To any gaming-veteran, the sophistication of modern games is simply incredible. Not only are the graphics a far cry from our childhood gaming days, but the rise of MMOs over the net has changed the gaming scene beyond all recognition.
Today to play a multiplayer game you can simply connect to the internet, sit back, and enjoy fragging random players from all corners of the world. In our day, multiplying meant crowding around a computer keyboard or sitting in the same room.
As convenient as this is, we wonder if it has spoiled the experience of multiplying that we remember. Perhaps it just nostalgia creeping upon us?
Kids these days don't even know they're born!
4. Talk about self-congratulating!
Congrats to PlayStation from r/memes
Seems legit. If PlayStation's own blog believes The Last of Us is the best game of the last ten years then who are we to question it?
But, wait a minute! Isn't that a PlayStation exclusive?
We smell a rat!
It never ceases to amuse us when PlayStation gives its own games awards. Especially when they are bold enough to declare a certain title "Game of the Decade".
A bold and impressive show of self-congratulations. But it makes us smile every time.
Who are they kidding?
5. We feel your pain brother
Too true from r/memes
We've all been there. After hours and hours of intense multiplayer gaming, one-by-one the group begins to disband.
Before you know it you are left in sole charge of the party -- all on your own. Not only does this feel like a bitter betrayal, but you are left feeling empty and confused.
How could they do this to me? Traitors one and all; thanks, guys!
Probably time for bed?
6. We knew it!
The massacre fake news will tell you nothing about! from r/memes
Have you ever wondered why the coverings to your PlayStation 4 controller joysticks are so comfortable? Well, it turns out they are made from the noses of dogs!
In fact, such is the demand for this material that literally tens of millions of dogs are massacred every year. But their sacrifice is not in vain, it is for the greater good!
Sacrificial-PlayStation-controller-dogs we salute you! You will never be forgotten.
7. Let's hope they don't do the same with PS5!

Whenever a new PlayStation console is announced fans have learned by now that any estimated release date is not to be trusted. Any PS4 player today will well remember the delay with its release all those years ago.
Yet, despite this, Sony appears to have a fetish for teasing their loyal fan base with new "features" in an attempt to appease their growing anger. We doubt they will ever learn.
Perhaps they simply don't care about our feelings? Who are we kidding, we'll wait for as long as it takes.
