Available as of yesterday, the new and shiny Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is an exciting upgrade from its previous flagship model, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+.

What does the upgrade include?

To start off, everything has been updated.

It has a faster system-on-a-chip or a circuit that integrates every component of a computer system: input and output ports (USB), a central processing unit, memory, and a storage system.

The previous Raspberry Pi had 1GB of RAM for many years; but now, the newest model allows you to buy more memory if you wish. The base model starts with 1GB of RAM, then you can purchase 2GB or even 4GB of RAM if needs be. A fantastic upgrade.

On top of that, memory transfer now has improved as the newer model uses LPDDR4, instead of the previously used, LPDDR2.

Other changes now include two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. Bluetooth has been upgraded from Bluetooth 4.2 to Bluetooth 5.0.

The biggest hardware change though is that the full-size HDMI port is no longer used. Instead, two micro-HDMI ports are put in place.

Raspberry Pi 4 is already on the shelves of authorized retailers with a starting price point of $35. The price goes up to $45 for the 2GB RAM model and $55 for the 4GB RAM one.

This new and improved computer should make Raspberry Pi fans very happy.
