The world is always wondering what Elon Musk will do next. As Mr. Musk travels between SpaceX headquarters and Tesla Motors, working out the logistics of space travel, electric cars, solar energy adoption, battery improvements, the Gigafactory and in his spare time creating prototypes for the fifth mode of transport, you might secretly wonder, "Does Elon Musk ever get bored?" Luckily, there's a parody Twitter account that fills in this gap of knowledge, and it's both hysterical and incredibly brilliant.
It's like a little window into Musk's mind when he's waiting for an elevator that's taking too long to arrive. Or, it could be the wandering thoughts that emerge during his 5-minute long mealtimes. Musk is notorious for his lightning-fast eating style and admits,
"Lunch is usually served to me during a meeting and I finish it in five minutes. It's a bad habit." -Quora
According to Jalopnik, the Bored Elon Musk account is the only parody account worth following and here's why:

As you can see, the tweets coming out of the Bored Elon Musk Twitter feed range from absurd to ingenious to somewhat realistic. I'm actually surprised that an entrepreneur hasn't created a company offering "Rainbow As A Service" technology yet. "Urinalmill" captures the essence of Bored Elon Musk Twitter's persona perfectly, with no area of life being too disgusting to reimagine in the mind of a visionary inventor-engineer.
The Bored Elon Musk account was created in 2013 and despite my one feeble attempt to discover the person running the account, I still don't know who it is. There was a Live Chat interview on the Product Hunt website but the person behind the parody account was in full Bored Elon Musk mode and didn't provide any clues to BEM's true identity. Here's some of that Live Chat interchange between Bored Elon Musk and various Product Hunt staff:
"David Duckworth: why are you bored?
Bored Elon Musk: I'm only bored sometimes. For about 10 seconds each day. While I'm sitting on the toilet. And that's when I share tweets with all of you.Sid Chanchal Mall: What to-do, task management or planning tool(s) do you use personally?
Bored Elon Musk: Hippocampus" -Product Hunt Website
I'd be curious to find out what the real Elon Musk thinks of this parody account. If you're not yet following Bored Elon Musk on Twitter, now is probably a good time to start. You won't be disappointed as careful thought goes into each and every post. I'll end with one of Bored Elon Musk's more absurd tweets:
"VR gear that lets you immerse yourself in a landscape of other people wearing VR gear watching a landscape of other people watching VR gear." -Bored Elon Musk
