Elon Musk and Grimes Supposedly Name Their Baby 'X Æ A-12'

Elon Musk and girlfriend musician Claire “Grimes” Boucher had a baby last night and they supposedly gave it a most unusual name, if Musk's tweets are to be believed. The infant will be called “X Æ A-12 Musk.”

Musk also shared that the baby was a boy. It's hard to tell whether Musk will really name the child X Æ A-12 as the entrepreneur is quite the prankster. He also tweeted an image of his newborn child with fake tattoos on his face and has been known in the past to joke with his followers.

People were quick to make their guesses as to what the name means with some speculating the 'X' is for SpaceX, the 'Æ' for digital self, and the 'A-12' for a U.S. spy plane. Others have guessed that the technical term for “Æ” is "ash". No one can know for sure, however, until Musk or Grimes confirm its origins.
Musk and Boucher first announced their relationship at the Met Ball in 2018. This is the first child for both of them. Musk also revealed that both mother and baby are doing well.
Musk and Boucher have had a very high-profile relationship that may be the source of Musk's issues with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The couple met after making some similar comments on Twitter about Rococo and Roko's basilisk. The relationship also supposedly inspired Grime's album Miss Anthropocene.
*Update: Boucher confirmed that the baby's name is indeed X Æ A-12 and specified what each letter stood for. X is for the unknown variable, Æ is the elven spelling of AI and A-12 is Musk's and Boucher's favorite aircraft.
