As an advocate of clean energy and environmental sustainability, Musk doesn't agree with Trump's claim that climate change is a made-up issue by China in order to trample America's manufacturing industries. The technological innovator used to hold positions in the economic advisory board and the Manufacturing Jobs Initiative in Washington.
Am departing presidential councils. Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world.

Trump is an extreme skeptic of the science behind climate and thinks that the Paris Agreement will be detrimental for the industrial condition of the country. A fresh tweet by Musk confirms some political experts' prediction that China will take the leading role in battling climate change, getting an international upper hand against the US. Despite pulling out from the international framework convention, Trump promised to make the US one of the cleanest countries in the world. But with one of biggest and most influential climate activists out of his advisory council, where will this bring America in terms of global efforts to reduce GHG emissions?
