If you've ever considered going to Australia, you probably had to triple think your destination point after seeing numerous instances of wildlife venturing into homes and public places. While it is a beautiful place with nice people, there are numerous spiders, sharks, and saltwater crocodiles lurking in the most unexpected places.

Most recently, a woman who has discovered a huge, hairy, and scary spider hiding in her car door handle in northern New South Wales has been making the headlines all over.

The woman took pictures of the lurking animal in the car door, reported Daily Mail, and shared them on the Australian Spider Identification Page on Facebook writing, "Thought it was hairy caterpillars at first. Haven't used my car for a week."

It was most likely a large huntsman spider

The huge spider with its legs spread on the handle can be clearly seen from the pictures.

According to the comments, the spider was most likely a large huntsman spider. While they may look menacing, they are reportedly not considered to be dangerous.

Spiders are not all bad

Australia inhabits an estimated 10,000 species of spiders, and while they live around anywhere from urban centers to forests, bites are infrequent.

Spiders get a bad reputation because of their threatening looks; however, it is reported that they are less life-threatening than snakes or sharks, or even bees.

However, you may rightfully want to avoid meeting one, and if that's the case, you can keep them away during the warmer months by avoiding parking your car under trees or you may spray your vehicle with insect repellent to keep them away.
