Most students are taught in the digital age that sharing any sort of personal information leaves people susceptible to cyber attacks and in-person threats. However, over time, users get more confident in sharing information such as their name via usernames.
Plenty of companies, including those promoting personal branding, encourage people to utilize their real names to connect with an audience. Yet, people have noted that using one's full name leaves them wide open to stalking and cyber abuses.
