Man Sets Guinness World Record for Stacking Eggs Vertically

It took years of practice to become the world's best, and possibly only, egg stacker.

You may have heard of the incredibly relaxing, meditative art of stone stacking. If you're like us though, you have never heard of the art of chicken egg stacking.

While, to most, it sounded like a disaster of Humpty Dumpty proportions waiting to happen, one man, Mohammed Muqbel, stuck to his dream of winning the Guinness World Record for most eggs stacked vertically, one over the other.

Very eggciting news

Mohammed Muqbel, 20, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has been teaching himself the unusual art of egg stacking since he was six years old. The years of practice have paid off, as Muqbel was awarded a Guinness World Record, the Irish Post reports.

Under Guinness World Records’ stipulations, the eggs had to remain stacked for at least five seconds for the record to stand.

The eggs also had to be fresh and free from any cracks in the shells that could give Muqbel an advantage.

Have you ever seen anything like this before?! ⁣ ⁣ The most eggs stacked is 3 and was achieved by Mohammed Abelhameed Mohammed Muqbel (Yemen), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 10 April 2020.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Mohammed Abelhameed was able to identify each egg's centre of mass and stack them exactly so that the combined centre of mass of the three eggs was situated directly above the very small base of the stack. This required high concentration, patience and practice - do you have what it takes to break the record?! Please don't waste any eggs! ??❤️️⁣ ----------------------------------------------------⁣ #guinnessworldrecords #eggs #egg #eggstack #records #malaysia #video #cool #food

As can be seen in the video in the Instagram post above, Muqbel was more than up to the task with an eggcellent performance all around.

Identify the egg's center of mass

As Muqbel told the Irish Times, there is a special trick to the art of egg stacking. Apparently, it's all down to identifying the center of mass of the egg that is about to be placed.

Once that is established, the stacking process becomes about ensuring all of the eggs align while stacked.

Of course, alongside this trick, one also needs a huge amount of practice and patience. We're not yolking when we say it's probably best to leave it to the eggsperts.
