New Star Wars Universe at Walt Disney World Will Be Truly Awesome

Walt Disney World is building a truly massive Star Wars section at both its Florida and California locations. Aerial photos of the site in Orlando Florida have emerged that show a breathtaking assortment of rides, restaurants, and entertainment.

From the images we have seen so far it's clear that alongside Star Wars universe buildings there is going to be a scale replica of the Millennium Falcon.

The entire site is expected to dominate the best part of a huge 14-acre area. The area is still definitely under construction with loads of cranes and diggers being able to be spotted putting the whole thing together.

World-class rides

It is expected some of the most advanced rides the world has ever seen will be a major part of the exhibition. After cruising through the galaxy with your favorite characters you might want to grab a bite to eat at one of the many themed restaurants scattered through the universe.

Take your pick from themed locations like Ronto Roasters and Oga's Cantina. Parents accompanying tiny fans will also be able to enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine for the first time inside a Disney world.

While there is still a lot of secrets about the Star Wars universe, one thing we know for sure is that it won’t come cheap.

Fans will need to pay out between $100-150 for the privilege of the visit. But where else are you going to see a full-size replica of the Millennium Falcon!

Bring plenty of spending money inside too as Disney is advertising so pretty special custom memorabilia options once you have entered the universe. Head to Savi’s workshop to buy your own custom made lightsaber or wander over to the droid depot to pick up a valuable companion.

The Disney world addition is just the latest in what has become an almost never-ending Star Wars franchise.

Beginning way back in 1977 with the release of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope the franchise now spans 11 movies, a television series, several novels, and comic book series. As well as a host of other products and experiences such as live-action series and web series.

In 2018, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at US$65 billion, and it is currently the fifth-highest-grossing media franchise of all-time.
