In the Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters, passed away people from a fictional town talk about their life, through epitaphs placed on their tombstones. Common stories, which have something important to tell. Stories that we can't let fade away, even when their protagonists are gone.

This is the idea of Rest in Memory.
RIM provides its customers with an Italian marble tile, with a QR Code and an embedded NFC Tag (a microchip that allows you to connect to a website via smartphones) and an online storage. You can upload pictures and words to tell the story of a passed away person and not let his memory fade. It's easy to use, it's a discreet service, respectful of the memory of the dead and it's not tied to any religion. RIM is not a social network: it's impossibile to browse between the profiles of the members.  The only way to access the stories of the dead is the RIM Tile, placed on the gravestone. The access may also be private, protected by a security question, whose answer can only be known by the members of the family.
