Seattleites Can Rent a Hot Tub Boat Over Lake Union
Hot tubs are ideal spots for relaxing as they combine both warmth and water. What if we told you you could explore Seattle's world-famous Lake Union from the comfort of a hot tub?

A company called Hot Tub Boats is offering just such an experience. The firm provides boats that consist mainly of a hot tub in the middle and that take you all around the lake while you lounge in the warmth of the heated water.

The firm offers boats that fit up to six people making it an ideal activity during the times of social distancing and their slogan "Soak in the Sea-nery" is quite catchy. The boats also come with an electric motor and an onboard diesel heater which keeps the water warm and cozy at 104°F (40 °C).

"Created in 2011, Hot Tub Boats is Seattle’s premier boat rental experience. Located on Lake Union, renters enjoy the Seattle skyline and revolving scenery from the comfort of a hot tub. Joystick navigation, bluetooth speakers, and storage space for food and drinks make this the most unique way to get out and see the city, regardless of weather!" says the company's welcome page.
The idea for these unique and special boats came from founder Adam Karpenske, according to My Modern Met. It happened when he was living on a houseboat feeling cold and uncomfortable. He then decided to create a floating vessel with a hot tub and share the experience with others. This is how Hot Tub Boats was invented.
The Boats go for about $350 for a two-hour rental period. You will also be given access to hot showers, lockers, and changing rooms. And to make sure the hot tubs stay clean and safe, the company drains and sanitizes the boats between each use. We are sold! Are you?
