Feel like talking to someone a bit smarter than the average human online? Albert Einstein joined Facebook, and he'll gladly chat with you. The Einstein bot comes as part of National Geographic's promotion for its new show Genius.

With many bots, one of the best things to do is attempt to trip it up. However, Albert wants none of your meme-loving nonsense. He'll press on with whatever subject he likes, including his true loves.

Granted, during our conversation, he admitted that his deepest love was his violin -- an instrument he played for decades.

"A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy?" he is often attributed with saying. (That very quote came up in our conversation.)

Before we signed off, Albert bid me adieu and said we would chat more about sciences later.

"Ah... There is still much we can discuss, but for now I have research to attend to," he said.

He said ciao but not before reminding me to watch Genius. The show premiers today (April 25) and features award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush as the title genius himself. It also marks National Geographic's first scripted series.

To chat with the professor himself, you can find the link to the Messenger bot here. For a glimpse of Rush's Einstein in action, check out this clip below from National Geographic:
