He's like Antoni Gaudi of industrial design.

The revered Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, known for his nature-inspired works, once said "The creation continues incessantly through the media of man. But man does not create... he discovers. Those who look to the laws of nature for support for their new works collaborate with the creator. Copiers do not collaborate. Because of this, originality consists in returning to the origin."

This idea is pronounced in the works of this industrial designer from Trinidad, Andrew Tiah. From a ladybug hairdryer to pelican earbuds to a velociraptor mouse, his concept designs are truly a sight to behold with their stylish resemblance to their original counterparts.

Ladybug hair dryer

So one day, this guy finds a ladybug waddling around in his house. What does he do? He sketches it and boom he's inspired. The ladybug hairdryer you see has a touch-sensitive OLED that enables the user to adjust the temperature and fan speed. Users can even save and come back to presets of their liking. The internal fan is made to resemble the wings of the bug and its form is made to look rather organic and playful, in the artist's words.

Velociraptor mouse

Next up is a velociraptor inspired computer mouse. He says he wanted to focus on the emotion it evokes and characteristics of the animal to the product, focusing on the sharp lines and the dashes of color. The LED lit bar that goes along the mid-line is intended to give users updates and notifications while also functioning as a volume slider. He even devised the product packaging made of acrylic to resemble a dinosaur egg.
