WhatsApp Makes Data Sharing With Facebook Mandatory
WhatsApp now can share data such as WhatsApp account registration, phone numbers, transaction data, service-related information, interaction information, mobile device information, IP address, and "other information identified... or obtained upon notice to you or based on your consent."
While the reasons for Facebook to require data, the social media giant claims that the data will be used to "understand how our services or [WhatsApp's] are used," "improve their services," "make suggestions for you", "personalize features and content" and "show relevant offers and ads across the Facebook Company Products."
