World's Largest Amphibious Production Boat Announced
The largest amphibious production boat in the world has just been announced by Sealegs, a company based in Auckland, New Zealand.
According to Sealegs, the 12m Cabin RIB is the largest, safest, and most luxurious amphibious system that the company has ever produced. It is, by the company's definition, powerful, versatile, and spacious.

The newly announced boat is going to be 40 ft (12 meters) in length and has enough space for nine passengers with recreational configuration.

As you'd imagine, moving swiftly through both water and land is not an easy task, which is why the Sealegs 12m Cabin RIB has a 132-gallon (500-liter) fuel tank. Its twin Outboard engines support a maximum 800 HP, enabling it to reach ultimate power.

Delivering 6,638 lb-ft (9,000 Nm) of torque, the 20-in (500-mm-wide) tires have hydraulic wheel motors built into them. The top land speed is 5 mph (8 km/h), while the water speed is produced by twin 400-hp outboard motors that can go at a top speed of 40 knots (46 mph, 74 km/h).

The massive platform boat can handle a wide range of activities, from commercial to recreational. It was designed in collaboration with Hall Marine and C4 Design. The sleek design is complete with an electric sunroof, dining area, stove, sink, fridge, and toilet.

The first 12m Cabin RIB has already been sold to a customer in Europe, and per the company's website, and you can set your eyes on mid-2021 for future demonstrations.
