IEC 61850 Global 2019
IEC 61850 is the international standard that defines communication protocols for smart devices and electrical substations. For anyone working the field, it is the de facto standard and compliance with it can be challenging.
Like all international standards, collaboration with other professionals is always welcome and that's where the IEC 61850 Global 2019 event comes in handy. Running between the 14th and 18th of October 2019 in London it will draw together over 150 experts in the field to discuss the standard and find ways to tackle the myriad of challenges that it offers.
Delegates and speakers will discuss the standard's implementation challenges, including top-down design, the process bus, and advanced cybersecurity. It will be case study led and will feature technology-innovation panels, a series of end-user driven round table discussions, a live demo lab of the latest vendor tools, an exhibition area displaying state of the art IEC 61850 solutions and an evening networking reception open to all participants.
The entire program will be supported with a hands-on Fundamentals of IEC 61850 workshop and a full-day seminar focussing on Future Applications of IEC 61850 in New Domains.
