As a true Star Wars fan, we're sure that you're aware of the upcoming Star Wars movie "The Rise of Skywalker."
United Airlines has collaborated with Star Wars for the release of the new movie. The planes will be unveiled in November, a month before the release of the movie.
The planes have a themed exterior paint design, with a lightsaber on its tail! The safety video on the plane features the two favorite characters Yoda and Chewbacca. For welcoming the passengers on the plane, the Star Wars theme song will be heard from the speakers.
Also, a Star Wars-themed amenity kit will be given to the passengers. The kit includes tissues, earplugs, a toothbrush, and products by skincare company Sunday Riley.
Mark Krolick, United's vice president of marketing, said, "United Airlines and the 'Star Wars' franchise share a common goal: to connect people and unite the world. We are thrilled to join forces and help promote the concluding chapter of the Skywalker story, while at the same time enlisting help from our new friends from the 'Star Wars' universe to demonstrate the importance of safety for our customers and colleagues."
The Star Wars-themed planes will be flying throughout the US, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean. Also, until the release of the movie on December 20, United Airlines will give its passengers a commemorative pin-up.
Also, the airline's MileagePlus members have the opportunity to bid award miles on several "Star Wars" themed experiences. For example, access to attend the premieres of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" in Los Angeles and London or a travel package for four, including visiting the locations in Jordan in which "Star Wars" was shot.
What do you think about this collaboration? Would you buy a ticket on this plane? And do you think that there will be more of these kinds of collaborations? Well, we don't know exactly, but we are sure that this is a great marketing campaign and it sure is fascinating for Star Wars fans. What do you want to see next on a plane?
