What do whales and wind turbines have in common?

These bumps appear at the front of a flipper and inspired a more efficient turbine
Interesting Engineering

Professor Fish was unaware that a whale’s flippers had bumps at the front, and only came to know this when he disagreed with an artist's sculpture. However, when the gallery owner overheard this they corrected Professor Fish by showing him an image of a whale with the bumps on the front.

After years of research, Professor Fish started a company with Dr. Philip Watts, and Canadian entrepreneur Stephen Dewar to start WhalePower.
