Google Is Fighting against Huawei's Blacklist Ban
We have read article after article recounting the details of Western tech companies pulling away trade agreements with the Chinese smartphone giant, Huawei.
This has all been happening due to a U.S. governmental trade ban, blacklisting Huawei from working with American suppliers and companies.

Now, we get an insight from the other side of the fence, from the massive U.S. tech company: Google.
What is Google saying about the ban against Huawei?
Senior executives at Google have voiced their concern about national security being at risk, if the ban against Huawei continues.
They are asking the U.S. administration to exempt Google from the ban.
In the short term, the Chinese company will suffer due to the ban. However, some experts in the industry think that this may in fact lead Huawei to become more independent in the future.
Huawei will have to develop their technologies on home turf, and potentially damaging U.S. companies' current dominance in this sphere in the longer term.
Google would be smack bang at the front, leading the pack.
So, why should Google in particular be exempt?
With the ban in place, Google would not be allowed to provide updates to its Android OS on Huawei devices. This, in turn, would push Huawei to build and develop their own version of the software.
To add water to the fire, Google are also arguing that a Huawei-modified version of Android would be more easily hacked.
Not something the U.S. would want.
Google said: “Like other US companies, we’re engaging with the Department of Commerce to ensure we’re in full compliance with its requirements and temporary licence. Our focus is protecting the security of Google users on the millions of existing Huawei handsets in the US and around the world.”
In line with Google's comments, Huawei was reported to have said it could develop its own OS "very quickly".
Will Google's powerful voice be enough to remove Huawei from the blacklist?
