When we wrote about the Lamborghini 88 Tauri phone the other day we didn't really have anything to compare it with being 10 times the price of the latest iPhone 6. Well, enter the $5,000 Regal Black Edition luxury Android phone from Gresso. It is built out of titanium and 18k gold instead of aluminum and it features a sophisticated design with sharp lines, dark tones and a 5-inch full HD display.
Limited to just 999 pieces the latest device from Gresso doesn't slack when it comes to specs either. The Regal Black Edition features a 5-inch full HD display, a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and Android KitKat.
The phone is assembled by hand and features a PVD-coated titanium case and white or yellow 18k gold trim. But is it really worth $5,000? The luxury smartphone world is certainly exclusive to the rich and famous. Personally, if I was paying $5,000 for a device I'd want a lot more features and power than the latest commercial devices.
Cyborgs may have only been shown in Hollywood films up until this point, but a group of scientists from the RIKEN Cluster for Pioneering Research (CPR) in Japan has made them a reality.
