New Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Video Leak Gives Hands-On Demo
Samsung Watch 3 video tells-all
The video shows the watch at a smaller 1.2-inch (41 mm) size, but it's also supposed to have additional availability at 1.77 inches (45 mm). The video goes on to unveil a physical rotating dial — just like the Galaxy Watch — but different from the Galaxy Watch Active 2's virtual touch.
The buttons, too, are a little larger than the older model, reports Engadget.
The video claims the Galaxy Watch 3 (there was no second one) has an IP68 water resistance with a 5 ATM rating. This allows wearers to dive deep to 164 feet (50 meters), for up to 10 minutes. The new smartwatch also features heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG sensors. But videos are easy to fake, so it's important to reserve a little skepticism.
Fist-clenching to answer, end calls, snap pictures
As of writing, clear pictures of the Galaxy Watch 3 have surfaced, in addition to an app leak debuting an interesting feature: wearers can answer calls by clenching their fist, or via other hand gestures. According to an XDA Developers report, wearers may ignore calls by simply shaking their hand.
Additionally, the watch has a built-in speaker, which means wearers can speak freely without craning their neck, or holding their wrist to the mouth like an undercover agent. Notably, wearers may also snap pictures with finch-clenching.
Regardless, the Galaxy Watch 3 is only one among five new devices debuted at Samsung's forthcoming Unpacked event, on August 5. The event will also reveal the Galaxy Tab S7, the Galaxy Note 20, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 phone, and Galaxy Buds Live wireless earbuds.
