Tesla Will Deliver Your Model 3 Straight to Your House

Tesla is now offering door-to-door deliveries in a bid to speed up sales in the last few days of the quarter. Called ‘Tesla Direct’, the service sees a Tesla representative drive your car to your home or office.
Eligible customers were emailed informing them they could take advantage of the offer on a first come, first served basis. The email explained the offer was available for free this weekend but is reportedly set to be offered during the week too.
Musk tested service personally
The idea was apparently thought of by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk himself who says the process is “super convenient and the car arrives in pristine condition without wasting plastic wrap.” Musk famously personally delivered a Tesla to excited customers in July as part of a test for the now current ‘Tesla Direct’ program.

Tesla is determined to get cars out of the factory and on the roads as quickly as possible and have been unveiling a series of programs to help this happen. Other initiatives include bringing back free supercharging to inventory cars and Model 3 vehicles until the end of the month, as well as offering customers the chance to come and pick up cars in stock immediately, without waiting for their custom options.
Tesla volunteer army kicks into action
In a more unusual step, Tesla has even suggested that satisfied customers should come down to the Tesla factory in Fremont and other pick up areas and assist Tesla staff with getting drivers acquainted with their new vehicles. Tesla has made it clear they were ready to enter a super intense delivery quarter.
After one Tesla ‘super customer’ offered to come down and help, Musk jumped, tweeting ‘If any current Tesla owners who’d like to help educate new owners could head to Tesla delivery centers during midday on Sat/Sun & morning/evening on weekdays, that would be super appreciated!’

Reddit user Jpbeans posted about his experience volunteering at the Fremont delivery center. He explained they were given Tesla badges and tasks ranged from sitting with people while they filled in paperwork, to going through the features of a static Model 3 and even on occasion showing his own car off to a person or family waiting for the car to be ready.
“People were universally grateful. I wasn't a company person or trying to sell or defend anything. I also have six months of experience with Model 3. Nobody asked anything I couldn't answer, and they all thanked me in a very heartfelt way,” he said. He went on to say that delivery centers are primed to accept volunteers for this week too.
