This Award-Winning Personal Submarine Is the World's Lightest Submersible
Submarines are incredible inventions that allow you to explore the deep seas going where few people have ever gone before. But up to now, it wasn't really convenient or possible to have your own submarine.
Introducing U-Boat Worx’s Nemo submersible. This amazing vehicle is a tiny portable submarine that is the size of about two jet skis and can dive up to 328 feet (100 meters). And it's already garnering a lot of attention.

According to Forbes, it won two awards at the international design competition, the Red Dot Design Awards: one for design excellence and one for being the “best of the best” in the Mobility and Transportation category.
The Nemo is extremely practical: it can be towed behind a car and be deployed from land. And it is small enough to fit aboard many ships. It stands only at 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and weighs a mere 5,510 pounds (2,500 kilograms).

The Nemo has enough space for one passenger and one pilot. If you want to learn how to drive it, U-Boat offers lessons and it only takes 12 days to learn how to use this model.
Better yet, the submersible is air-conditioned so you can stay cool while exploring the deep seas. It also features an acrylic-sphere window that allows you to see around you in all directions.

“Yachts that carry their own submarine tend to be explorer style – robust superyachts, built for long-distance cruising to untouched destinations," Julia Simpson, Broker and Communications Manager at SuperYatchsMonaco told Forbes.
"Owners who love to explore, but don’t want to compromise on the sporty lines of their sleek superyacht, are opting more and more for a support vessel solution, on which a submarine and other specialist toys and tenders can be carried in tandem with the superyacht mothership, rather than on-board."
