ZTE Mobile Devices, a Division of ZTE Corporation, the Shenzen-based provider of telecommunications, enterprise, and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, announced this week that the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G, the world's first Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship smartphone that adopts F2FS file system, is going to be available in Europe and China in May.
ZTE announced its first 5G flagship smartphone earlier this year in February at MWC Barcelona where the company also demonstrated its 5G network through an original robotic performance.
According to ZTE, its new flagship smartphone, engineered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform ready for 5G, performed excellently in the memory and storage test (MEM), with performance over 150 percent higher than previous models.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro handset adopts the intelligent anti-fragmentation mechanism. This effectively solves the freezing problem that annoys Android smartphone users.
The new phone also utilizes liquid cooling technology and composite phase-change thermal materials. This results in the CPU to operate at high-frequency points for a long time. This guarantees a very strong performance.
A closer look at the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G features three cameras on the back including a triple camera with a main 48MP f/1.8 sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 20MP 125° super wide-angle lens; and a 20MP selfie snapper at the front.
The Axon 10 Pro 5G runs on Android 9.0 Pie and also on MiFavor 9.0. It features a 4,000mAh battery which supports 8W fast charging, wireless charging, and Quick Charge 4+.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G is the world's first Snapdragon 855 smartphone with the F2FS file system which has faster file reading speed, 20 percent higher storage performance, 200 percent faster-operating speed, and improved random 4K reading and writing speed.
Thanks to the improvement in the operation speed, it is better for the current software file storage requirements. The ZTE Axon 10 Pro handset is going to provide much faster performance than the Snapdragon 855 flagship models.
Additionally, the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G is the first smartphone that uses the Sandisk iNAND 8521 flash memory chip and 64-layer 3D NAND stacking technology.
This improvement means that the continuous writing performance is doubled proving 800MB/s read and 500MB/s write speed performance.
The ZTE Axon 10 pro 5G is going to be available with 6GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with the X50 5G modem supporting the 5G network.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro comes with a 6.47-inch AMOLED screen with a full HD and resolution, and a screen fingerprint recognition security feature.
ZTE continues to actively collaborate with leading partners toward the acceleration of the commercial 5G network. According to the company, ZTE had conducted 5G device field tests involving major operators in eight countries including China, Austria, Finland, and Spain.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G smartphone is scheduled to be released in Fuzhou, China following great expectation. The company has not revealed the price of the handheld yet. It is expected, though, that the price will be announced at the launch event.
