Project Engineer (#35190) Civil/Environmental
Purpose of Position: The purpose of this position is to administer state and federal loan and grant money for the construction of water, wastewater, and solid waste projects to ensure the appropriate outcome without waste, fraud, or abuse. This position will be responsible for engineering review of loan and grant agreements, facility plans, architecture and engineering contracts, construction contracts, interim and final construction inspections, requests for change orders, and administrative closeout of publicly funded construction projects. As a professional engineer, the position will also be responsible for independent review of plans, specifications and other technical engineering documents.
Engineer Professional II Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant engineering discipline with licensure and six (6) years of engineering experience, two (2) of which must be as a Licensed Professional Engineer.
Employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
Statutory Requirements: Registration as a Professional Engineer in good standing by the New Mexico Licensing Board.
