Folks of Twitter have been going through existential crisis over videos of extremely realistic-looking objects being sliced open only to reveal that they're just... well, cakes. The social media is in utter dismay, and before we dive in, we should warn you that whatever your eyes might tell you, everything here is just a cake.
The internet has been going crazy over a video showing Turkish bakery Red Rose Cake's creations and it has become quickly viral.

Twitter is much like a minefield, with a stroll through it guarantees seeing a variety of non-food items that are just cakes in disguise. The hyper-realistic cakes come in all shapes and sizes: a chicken thigh, a carton of eggs, a telephone, a ball of yarn, or bell peppers... Nothing is sacred.

1. Lettuce cake
Made by Natalie Sideserf, a baker from Austin, Texas, looking at this lettuce makes us oddly hungry for both sweets and ultra crunchy stuff.
2. Toilet paper cake
Toilet papers are having a minute this year. Hopefully, this much fame won't go over their head.
3. (Literally) Apple cake
This one is seriously messing with our heads. What do you mean it doesn't taste like apples?
4. Eggcellent cake
What is this sorcery? 23-year-old Luke Vincentini is among the bakers who are just doing magic at this point. He makes cakes in shapes of Doritos, fruits, sushi, and even cars.
5. Baby Yoda cake
The cuteness of Baby Yoda might have been making you want to eat him; well, now thanks to Sideserf, you can actually take a bite out of him.
Not on the eye though!
6. Banana cake
Imagine walking into your kitchen and grabbing a banana just to find out you can't grab it because it's cake.
7. A nightmare-ish cake
This one is so realistic that it is giving us nightmares just by looking at it. It probably tastes like young adult tears and fear.
8. Doritos cake
This one couldn't fool us: When do Doritos ever look this full?
9. Eggplant cake
The kids will want to eat their vegetables for sure. We should reverse engineer vegetables to look like cakes, now, that would be really mind-bending, and also a bit disgusting.
10. Soap cake
We are having trouble comprehending this one. It looks so real that it is giving us an existential crisis.
11. Hand sanitizer cake
Because of the coronavirus, duh! While we appreciate the effort to raise awareness, looking at this one might make you feel a bit hungry because it is so big.
12. Pizza cake
Are those real cheese and salami? Is only the cake part real? This is just too confusing.
