Mercedes-AMG has collaborated with Cigarette Racing Team to release a 59-foot six-engine Tirranna AMG boat and a matching Mercedes-AMG 63 SUV. The boat is the 13th special edition of the Tirranna and comes in a black and gold color scheme that the SUV also boasts.
“Mercedes-AMG stands for Performance Luxury. The Tirranna AMG Edition is the perfect transfer of this principle to a boat: Its dynamic and, at the same time, deeply sensual proportions embody athletic beauty. In its powerful, clean look, the boldness of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 can be experienced,” said in a statement Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG.
Mercedes claims that the boat strikes "the perfect balance between a luxury yacht and a performance-oriented super console." It has a length of 59’ and a beam of 14’, but don't let that fool you! Mercedes claims that the boat is still very agile despite its measurements.
To build the Tirranna, the Cigarette Racing Team used lightweight construction in key locations. The boat features a raked hardtop made completely of carbon fiber in order to reduce its vertical center of gravity.
But that is not the only place carbon fiber was used to optimize the boat's performance. The boat also boasts carbon-capped stringers and a carbon-fiber transom. Furthermore, the Tirranna features a hull and deck that are vacuum infused and an instrument panel that is anti-reflective and heat-resistant.
“The Mercedes-AMG G 63 is an unparalleled and timeless icon that has inspired us to push performance on water even further,” said Skip Braver, CEO of Cigarette Racing Team.
“The 59’ Tirranna AMG Edition remains true to our proven racing DNA while embodying the next level of luxury and performance to once again redefine the expectations of our discerning customers and set a new benchmark.”
