What makes this one such a scary movie?

To give a little insight, and perhaps whet your appetite to watch the show, here's the general gist of the story. Spoilers ahead.

A young 10-year old boy, Eli (played by Charlie Shotwell), has an unknown illness that means he can't leave his house, and when he does, he has to wear a head to toe hazmat suit.

His parents, Rose and Paul (played by Kelly Reilly and Max Martini), manage to find a doctor, Dr. Horn (played by Lili Taylor), who may have a solution to all their problems.

Naturally, Dr. Horn's facility is in an incredibly remote area. It is housed in an old and creeky mansion and has dark, and spooky hallways — all the makings for a spooky stay.

To make matters worse, Eli's treatments by Dr. Horn and her two creepy sisters, are unconventional and appear to be making him sicker.

You'll have to watch the rest yourself to truly see what happens.

The movie has all the usual spooky tricks: haunted house, creepy kids and ghosts, big secluded mansion, unexplainable medical procedures, handprints appearing on mirrors, and demons lurking around.

These tactics may work to freak a number of people out, and it's true that the movie does take unforeseeable twists and turns, and those tactics will have you jump a little in your seat.

However, there are much spookier scary movies out there to be watched. Sticking to the classics such as The Exorcist, The Shining, or The Conjuring will have you feeling more scared than the rather obvious spooks that Eli uses.
