Samsung — the Android tablet developer — quietly pushed a site live for the forthcoming Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, a less expensive companion to the Snapdragon 855-packing Galaxy Tab S6 the company released in 2019, reports Ars Technica.

The new Lite tablet seems to come in three colors, including black, baby blue, and a creamy-light pink. There's no official confirmation on the SoC — Samsung simply calls it an "Octa-Core" SoC with frequencies between 2.3 GHz and 1.7GHz, but it's a good bet that this is actually the Exynos 9611, which matches Samsung's quick description — and also recently made an appearance in a Geekbench tablet test. It lists a 10-nanometer chip with a Mali G72 MP3 GPU, four 1.7GHz A53 cores, and four 2.3GHz Cortex A73 cores.

The display is 10.4 inches, at 2000x1200 LCD — significantly smaller than the 2560x1600 OLED panel on the original Tab S6. The Lite model has 4GB of RAM, two storage variants of 64GB or 128GB, a 7040mAh battery, a 5MP front camera, and an 8MP rear camera. The new device also has a MicroSD slot, and — unlike the Tab S6 — the Lite has a headphone jack. Of course, there's also an S-Pen stylus.

As of writing, there's no official listing for the price, but according to Ars Technica, the device is likely priced below the $649 Galaxy Tab S6. An early B&H listing (scroll way down) for the new tablet shows it priced at $349.99, which seems sensible. The new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a successor to the Tab S5e, which went for $399, and the least expensive iPad is $329.
