Set in 2054 Washington D.C., a group of special police unit called PreCrime is tasked with apprehending criminals based on foreknowledge provided by psychics called "precogs".
Everything goes to plan until one of their own is accused of a future murder. This will make some of the team seriously question their career choice.
2. "The Girl with All the Gifts" is also heading to Netflix this month
If you like nothing more than chilling out to a zombie-flick, then this might be right up your street. The film is about a dystopian future where a global fungal infection is slowly, but surely, eradicating mankind around the world.
But all is not lost. A small group of children have managed to acquire immunity to the fungus and are mankind's only hope for the survival of the species.
3. "The Matrix" trilogy will also be on Netflix this month
Since you will likely be begging for something to do while stuck in the house this month, perhaps it is time to revisit "The Matrix" trilogy? Set in a horrific future where machines use humans as a power source, this trilogy sees mankind's fight back against its evil electronic overlords.
But in a world where reality and a highly sophisticated simulation cannot be separated by a cigarette paper, how do you know what is real and what is not? That is the job of our hero, Neo (a computer hacker) who is recruited by a mysterious group of rebels to liberate all humanity for good.
4. "Code 8" might be worth a watch
"Code 8" is another sci-fi film coming to streaming services this April. The story is centered around a man with superhuman powers who attempts to raise money to help his sick mother by befriending some of the hardest criminals in town.
This Canadian-production science fiction thriller drama was written and directed by Jeff Chan and is a feature-length version of a 2016 short film of the same name.
5. "Quarantine" will be on Crackle this month too
What could be more fitting than settling down to watch a film that perfectly sums up the current times? "Quarantine" sees a reporter and cameraman trapped in a building in downtown LA as a highly contagious strain of rabies ravages the local community.
6. "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" is on its way to Hulu in April
If you have an account on Hulu, then "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" might be worth watching. Based on the highly successful 90s TV show, this 2008 film is your thing if you fancy a bit of nostalgia.

Set at Freiburg University in Germany, the series will run for 6 parts.
9. "Tales from the Loop": Season 1 is coming to Amazon Prime this month
Coming to Amazon Prime this month is the first season of a sci-fi series called "Tales of the Loop". Due for release on the 3rd of the month, it centers around a group of townspeople who live above something called "The Loop".
This is a machine that was built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe. They begin to experience things that they would normally only expect in the realm of sci-fi.
10. "Future Man: Complete Final Season" is also coming to Hulu in April
"Future Man" is another sci-fi TV series coming to streaming service this month. This American produced series revolves around an underachieving janitor who is called upon to save the world.

"The Origins of Alien (2019)" is a documentary coming to Crackle this month. The documentary traces the origin of the first installment of this highly successful sci-fi franchise.
It explores the script of Dan O’Bannon, the work of James Cameron and other filmmakers, and the dark arts of H.R. Giger. It also explores the unsettling works of H.P. Lovecraft and even the mythos of ancient Greek legends that underpin the franchise.
