Mission Possible? Tom Cruise in Talks with SpaceX to Shoot Movie in Space

Tom Cruise is well-known for his incredible stunts in his Mission: Impossible films. Now, Cruise is allegedly in talks with Elon Musk at SpaceX and NASA about a potential movie shot aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The American actor would be taking his stunts to another dimension, something surely not to be missed.

Mission: Impossible ISS
Tom Cruise has a penchant for action movies and it's looking like he may be signing up for an even bigger adventure. According to Deadline, Cruise is in early talks with SpaceX about potentially filming a set in Space, aboard the ISS. NASA is also supposedly involved in the talks.
Nothing is yet set in stone, but according to Deadline's reporting, it's looking like a very real possibility. Moreover, it would make complete sense given Cruise's movie setlist of the hair-raising Mission: Impossible series.
This would not, in fact, be a Mission: Impossible sequel, but when you're filming in Space you probably don't need any previous legacy to launch you up, so to speak.
NASA administrator, Jim Bridenstine, confirmed the talks were involving the U.S. space agency with a tweet he posted on May 6th, pointing out that popular media would be useful to inspire the next generation of NASA engineers and scientists. Elon Musk replied to Bridenstine's post by acknowledging how fun it would be!

If this promising project does come to fruition, it would most likely be a while before any movie was released, as Cruise would have to be properly trained before being able to shoot off to Space.
In the meantime, SpaceX keeps working hard on its path to sending tourists to Space by 2021.
