What happened on Sunday
The police and firefighters are still assessing the damage, and sifting through the rubble to see what they can find.
The city has asked that all residents remain indoors if they are in an area that was hit by the tornado. Trees, power lines, and buildings could be unstable and cause damage, leading to injuries.
A lot of damage has happened along the 635 road in North Dallas. Cars, houses, businesses, power lines, and much more have all been destroyed.
Six schools canceled classes on Monday due to the damage to their campuses.
Dallas Forth Worth airport is a major national and international hub and has grounded much of its traffic. There are flight delays in and out of the area, as per the Federal Aviation Administration.

The city has opened the Bachman Recreation Center for residents without power or homes, with the Red Cross on-site to assist.
