Hot Wheels Introduces Tesla Cybertruck Toys with Shattered Window Stickers
Mattel has released two radio-controlled Hot Wheels Cybertrucks, and they are giving the real thing a run for its money. In fact, one even comes complete with reusable shattered window stickers so that the truck can be truly authentic.
Taking the groundbreaking power and performance of the #Cybertruck and putting it all into a #HotWheels R/C. Available in a limited-edition 1:10 scale model and 1:64 model. Preorder now at https://t.co/KtlT7laUYE pic.twitter.com/mzVpmtjqWi— Hot Wheels (@Hot_Wheels) February 21, 2020
The toy Cybertruck is available in two versions: a 1:64 scale Cybertruck for $20, and a limited edition 1:10 version for $400.
The 1:64 version is 3-inches long, small enough to fit on the standard orange Hot Wheels plastic tracks and playsets. It comes complete with an electric motor, rechargeable battery, a wireless remote, and two driving modes: chill and sport.
The 1:10 version comes with more accurate detailing, such as the shattered window stickers. The stickers are a nod to the moment during the unveiling when the so-called shatterproof glass of the Cybertruck broke, much to Elon Musk's surprise.
The small truck also includes working headlights and taillights, all-wheel drive, a rear bed that can be opened and closed, and a telescopic tailgate that folds out into a loading ramp. Fully charged, it will run for about half an hour and has a top speed of around 25 miles per hour.
The Tesla team worked with Mattel on this project. The toy cars will be shipping in December but can be pre-ordered now. The cars are available for people in the U.S. and Canada.
