Lamborghini Teases Track-Only Hypercar with 830 Horsepower
Lamborghini has announced that it will unveil an unnamed supercar in 2020.
While details are scarce, one of the most striking announcements from the automaker's press release is that the car will be too powerful for the road and hence, will only be for the track.
The vehicle will be developed by Lamborghini's Squadra Corse racing division.

Scarce details
Lamborghini's new hypercar will give the word 'showpiece' a new meaning. As the automaker's press release says, it's "track only but no races for the super sports car developed by Squadra Corse and designed by the Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese."
It seems like the car is being built purely to exhibit raw power, and it has that in abundance.
The press release says the car will be powered by a version of the 6.5-liter V12 used in the Aventador and other limited-edition models. The output will be 830 horsepower.
In order to keep the car on the ground at the immense speeds it will reach, Lamborghini fitted a mechanical locking rear differential, which can be adjusted to suit different conditions.
The car's structure is made of an aluminum front frame joined to the carbon fiber monocoque.
Rumors and speculation
As Motor1.com reports, several rumors are coming out about the new Lambo hypercar. If these are to be believed, the Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s machine will go by the name of Aventador SVR.
This would be in line with another model that was restricted to the tracks, the Miura SVR.
Reports also say production of the incredibly powerful hypercar will be limited to only 40 units. Customer deliveries are also expected to start in 2021.
While Lamborghini has released some tantalizing details, we'll have to wait until 2020 to really know what their new hypercar has under the hood.
