New Ram 1500 TRX Truck Goes from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.5 Seconds
There are some pretty epic pickup trucks out there in the world, rolling up desert dunes, waist-deep water, or the rockiest of terrains. And now Ram's 2021 1500 TRX pickup sets a whole new level to the words 'beast mode.'
It has 702-horsepower and claims to "handle the most punishing conditions with extreme capability and to outperform every other truck," as per Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' (FCA) press release.

A pickup for any event
Ram's new 1500 TRX is a step up in the world of pickup trucks. Without even acknowledging its incredibly high horsepower, it has been rebuilt to withstand any condition thrown at it.
Looking under its hood, the TRX has a powerful 6.2-liter supercharger HEMI V8 engine. That means it can go from zero to 60 mph (96.5 kph) in 4.5 seconds, and it can get up to 100 mph (161 kph) in 10.5 seconds.

Now moving into the vehicle, you'll quickly notice it's built to assist every type of driver. There's a new 'Baja' driving mode that increases 4-wheel-driving, throttle response, suspension, and steering, among others. The mode also offers three different off-road modes: rock, sand, and mud, as well as five on-road modes: auto, sport, tow, snow, and custom.
Boom your way through nature (although that may defy the purpose of enjoying the great outdoors — but, to each their own), the truck is equipped with an impressive 900-watt 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
For the fast and the furious out there who like to get a little wind under your wings, the 1500 TRX 'Jump Detection' allows for a smoother landing. And with the truck's four-wheel disc brakes with 15-inch rotors and hydraulic suspension, there's no worrying about fast braking.

The front and the rear of the TRX are geared up with active damping Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks.
The grill has been reworked and now sports all-black LED headlamps.
Production of the Ram 1500 TRX starts at the beginning of the fourth quarter this year, and will begin by producing 702 Launch Edition models with particular aesthetics. Prices start at $70,095 pre-destination.
