Pininfarina’s $2 Million Electric Hypercar Will Reach A Staggering Top Speed of 250 MPH

Pininfarina is starting to get specific about its PF0 electric hypercar and from what we know so far it's going to be record-breaking. First teased in March, the car is expected to be officially released in 2020.
The car company recently told the online media outlets that the hypercar will be able to reach a top speed of 250MPH and manage 60MPH in under two seconds. If that’s not enough it will have a driving range of about 310 miles.
PF0 offers complete EV package of speed and range
Though we expect that the top speeds and high mileage don’t go hand in hand. The company also boasted super fast charging speeds, claiming the PF0 will be able to get to 80% charge in ten to fifteen minutes.
As well as being electric, the car gets green points for using paints without chemical ingredients, natural wood and other "ethically sourced" materials. All of this incredibleness comes at a price though.
Luxury EV might even be too pricey for the rich and famous
Buyers interested in the power and style of the PF0 will need about $2 million to get out of the lot; making it closer in price to a Bugatti Chiron than a Tesla. Potential cashed up customers will get a sneak peek of the car at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August, while the plebs will have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show next March.

The price is obviously going to be a massive drawback, especially if Tesla comes good on its promise that the Rodaster will go close to the figures promised by Pininfarina and will cost a mere $200,000.

Though as electric vehicles become the number one must have item, the Pininfarina’s Italian heritage and luxury styling will create some buzz. Pininfarina may have to lean on both its Italian design flair and a posh interior to convince wealthy EV fans that it's worth the premium.
The car company was founded by Battista "Pinin" Farina in 1930 in Turin.
In 2015, the Mahindra Group acquired Pininfarina S.p.A. in a €168 million deal. The company has an enviable repuation having designed cars for noteworthy brands such as Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Fiat, GM, Lancia, and Maserati, as well as emerging automobile makers like AviChina, Chery, Changfeng, Brilliance, and JAC and Korean manufacturers Daewoo and Hyundai.
