Tesla Cybertruck Takes a Stroll Down New York City
Ahead of Tesla CEO Elon Musk's much-anticipated Saturday Night Live hosting gig, the car firm posted a video of the Tesla Cybertruck taking a nice stroll down New York City. The video puts the car by Radio City Music Hall on Saturday and others recalled spotting the car on Friday around Times Square.

Futurism, however, pointed out that the car was breaking some New York traffic laws since it had no outside mirrors required by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles. In the Cybertruck, these are replaced by an internal sideview camera system.
In addition, the car has some pretty intense top lights that are definitely not legal in the great state of New York. This does not mean that people weren't overjoyed to see the car in action.
Back in April of 2021, Tesla's Head of User Interface Design Pawel Pietryka left the firm and leaked a lot of never-before-seen photos of Cybertruck designs, along with Full Self-Driving software. This was another time we got to see a clear image of the Cybertruck although not in person.
Elon Musk has made big claims about the Cyber truck such as that it will be able to float for a while and that it will power off grid tiny houses and campers. However, as patiently as we have been waiting, the truck has yet to go for sale.
Musk has tweeted that the famous truck will go into production in Q2 of 2021 but there have been no other indications that this will be its release date. Musk did say it would be built a Giga Texas and that it would be a beast.
Update probably in Q2. Cybertruck will be built at Giga Texas, so focus right now is on getting that beast built.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 6, 2021
Of course, we did not need him to specify how beastly the truck will be as we can see it compared to other vehicles on the street! We will eagerly be waiting for the day when many cybertrucks roam New York City and every other major city in the U.S.
