This Burnt 2001 Dodge Viper Is Awaiting Salvation

Dodge Vipers are no longer being made which has caused them to grow in value. But how do you get your hands on one?
The Drive has spotted a burnt Dodge Viper for sale in Ham Lake, Minnesota. The car is going for $49,950, although that might seem pricey considering its condition.

An intact back
The deep sapphire blue vehicle's front is burnt but the back racing stripes are intact and the taillights are in good shape too. We wonder what could have happened to the car that caused only it's front to be burned.
The seller also posted images of the vehicle's interiors (front seats and engine) that all look good which means the fire did not get to them. The seller states that the car has 35,736 miles (57,511 kilometers) on it.
The Dodge Viper was first conceived back in late 1988 at Chrysler's Advanced Design Studios and began development in March 1989. In February of 1990, a V10 engine was introduced.
A powerful engine
This engine weighs 712 lb (323 kg) and is rated at 400 hp (406 PS; 298 kW). It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and from 0 to 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) in 9.2 seconds.
The car only has one flaw: it is a gas guzzler. However, some would argue it's worth the fuel.
The Drive spotted this comment from a Viper owner: “This car is fast, rude and no, it doesn't get good gas mileage. I thank God for all of it. It's worth putting gas in every few miles. I am highly pleased with this beast… buy one, and don't whine about the gas mileage or ride.”
Fuel economy aside, the car is quite a looker even burnt. We can only imagine how great it would look once salvaged.
