Twitter Likely in the Works for a Subscription-Based Service With 'Undo' Feature

Also, the paid service will likely be a tiered one.

Ah! Twitter! One of Elon Musk's favorite modes of communication has been making lots of changes lately. The platform in November announced self-deleting tweets. Now, app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who often spots and shares new features coming in apps, has released new details on Twitter's potential upcoming new subscription model.

The new service would be called Twitter Blue and it is estimated to be priced at $2.99 per month. It comes with a "Collections" section that works sort of like a bookmarks section, enabling users to save and organize their favorite tweets so they can find them when desired.

It will also boast an "Undo Tweets" feature, which will allow users the option to "Undo" a tweet before it's actually posted on the social network. Users can decide how long their Tweet Undo period will last.

Twitter may also bundle Scroll with Twitter Blue as the company announced last week that it acquired the $5-per-month subscription service that removes ads from websites for users. Finally, Wong said Twitter may be working on a tiered subscription model, which could result in a premium experience for the highest-paying subscribers.

What does this mean for non-paying Twitter users? Well, in the past few weeks the company has also made some advancements for them. It updated its warning system for offensive tweets, reworked its photo cropping algorithm, and even now allows Android users to search their messages. All in all, it seems Twitter is improving for the better!
