Two 'Missing' Kids Found Taking Parents’ Range Rover on a Joyride

The children, 12 and 7, were driving over to see their grandpa.

Sometimes a story comes along that's too adorable for words. Such is the case with this news of the day that saw two New York city kids steal their parents' Range Rover to go visit their grandfather, according to News 4.

The two children, aged 12 and 7, were reported missing Monday morning much to their parents' alarm. However, it wasn't long until they were found safe again just a few hours later, along with the New Jersey - Delaware border.

The kids, originally from Ozone Park, were located after one of them tried to use a family credit card at a rest stop, police revealed to News 4. They further stated that it was the 12-year-old that was behind the wheel. Can we get a "Jesus take the wheel" here?

All joking aside, the two youngsters managed to travel pretty far before getting caught. The two of them drove through Staten Island and into New Jersey.

They then took the New Jersey Turnpike all the way into Delaware and even went over a bridge and through a toll plaza without being stopped for questioning. Did no one notice these tiny drivers were underage?

It has now been reported that the white Range Rover the kids took for a joyride is now safely parked outside of the 12-year-old's house. However, neither of the kids' parents has come out to give News 4 an interview. Instead, the news channel spoke to one of the neighbors who said the 12-year-old boy was a well-behaved young man.

"He's a good boy actually," Khuram Shahzad said, adding "we just thank God they safely got back." There is also no word on whether any charges will be filed but considering the car belonged to the boy's parents it is unlikely they will be pressing any.
