Can a 2022 Hayabusa and a 2021 Kawasaki Fare Against a Tesla Model S Plaid?

How fast is the Tesla Model S Plaid? One Youtuber decided to answer that question by racing the car against a 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa and a 2021 Kawasaki ZX-14R. These are two of the fastest new motorcycles on the market.

Youtuber Edmunds brought the Tesla and the two bikes to Willow Springs International Motorsports Park to have them race against each other and you guessed it: Tesla beat both the bikes.

That's no small feat considering the Hayabusa packs 188 horsepower, weighs just 582 pounds (264 kg), and is powered by a 1.3-liter inline-four engine that revs all the way to 11,000 rpm. Meanwhile, the Kawasaki packs 208 horsepower, weighs a mere 593 pounds (269 kg), and has a 1.4-liter inline-four that also revs up to an impressive 9,800 rpm.

This means that both these bikes are super speedy and dangerous. However, they are still no match for the Tesla Model S Plaid. Edmunds didn't time these races but he does claim he previously recorded the Model S Plaid completing a quarter-mile in just 9.4 seconds at 150.8 mph (242 km/h).

The drag races are fun to watch because they come so close to each other, so make sure not to miss this video! And if you want more, make sure to watch this Tesla Model S Plaid race with a Porsche 991 GT3, a McLaren Senna, and a McLaren P1.
