A team of mechanics built a DIY air brake for a Lada
The Russian mechanics behind the YouTube channel Garage 54 are known for their numerous interesting projects, which include everything from halving an engine in two and turning the ignition to transforming a car into a completely functional upside-down vehicle. In their latest video, the mechanics get their hands on their trusty Lada, which has gone through a lot at this point and has definitely seen better days. As of this video, it boasts a pneumatic door opener, an automatic transmission, and a gas cylinder-based trick suspension.
Deciding that the modifications of this automobile should continue, they took a copy from the hyper car playbook and created an air brake, which is a type of friction brake for vehicles in which compressed air pressing on a piston is utilized to apply the pressure to the brake pad or brake shoe needed to stop the vehicle, wing device.
