Right now, we are all self-isolating and let's face it; it isn't always easy. Luckily, we have some good advice from an expert on self-isolation: an astronaut.

Chris Hadfield released a video called the Astronaut's Guide to Self-Isolation. In it, he provides his expert tips from his experience up in space and separates his tips in four points.

"I have spent a little time self-isolating aboard a spaceship," begins Hadfield.

He then goes on to say that it is a good idea to try to really understand your current situation.

"Understand the actual risk, don't just be afraid of things," Hadfield said in the video. "Go to a credible source and find out what is truly the risk that you're facing right now."

Hadfield also suggests you make new goals during this time to keep you from going crazy. You can learn a new language, take up guitar playing, or whatever other creative endeavor tickles your fancy.

Most importantly, he outlines the importance of self-isolating during this crucial time.

"Take care of yourself, take care of your family and friends, take care of your spaceship," Hadfield said.
